Numerology: Mulank, Bhagyank & name number
Numerology reduces a birth date — and optionally a name — to single-digit numbers, each read through a ruling planet. It's a related tradition, not part of Vedic astrology itself, shown here because the same birth date you've entered elsewhere already answers it.
Is numerology part of Vedic astrology?
No — they're related traditions that share the idea of planetary rulership, but numerology works from a birth date's digits rather than the sky at the moment of birth. This page keeps them separate rather than presenting one as the other.
Why is there no name number for some names?
The Chaldean name-number table assigns values to Latin letters only. Running a name written in kana or hangul through it would produce a number that's wrong under every numerology system, not an approximation of a real one — so this page asks for a Latin spelling instead of guessing.
